Overview

Sfirat HaOmer is an iPhone and Apple Watch app for Omer counting, reminders, and count tracking. The app is designed to work primarily with data stored on your device.

Data we do not collect

We do not operate user accounts, advertising SDKs, or analytics tracking in the app. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run a remote backend that stores your counting history.

Data used on your device

The app may use the following information locally on your device:

• Location, to calculate sunset and tzeit hakochavim.
• Notification preferences and local reminder settings.
• Language, nusach, and counted-day preferences.
• Manual location overrides if you choose to enter them.

This information is used locally by the app and is not sent to our servers.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device. These reminders are generated on-device and are not delivered from a remote server.

Apple Watch and shared values

If you use the Apple Watch app or complication, the app may store a limited set of shared values in Apple-provided app-group storage so the watch can show the current Omer day and counted status.

Your choices

• You can disable notifications at any time.
• You can disable location access and use default or manual location behavior where supported.
• You can switch the interface language and the bracha/counting language.
• You can manually edit counted days inside the app.
